Statistics workshop for City officials (12/10/2009)
James Evans, expert on the UK International Trade in Services (ITIS) Survey, visited Buenos Aires on 8 and 9 October as part of the cooperation project “Training and Capacity Building on Service Exports Surveying and Measurement Techniques for the City of Buenos Aires' Government. The UK Experience”.
Mr. Evans trained in a closed workshop public officials of the Direction of Statistics and Censuses of the City of Buenos Aires (CBA) and other related offices in the statistical methods to survey and measure service exports used in the UK.
This training is part of an ongoing project to carry out the first firm level survey of service exporters in the City of Buenos Aires, that is implemented by CIPPEC.
After the workshop, Mr. Evans also participated in an open seminar trade experts with the participation of reknown Argentine services trade experts. About 25 people took part in a well organised and high quality event.
