Monitoring Report of the Law on Education Financing (17/11/2008)
On 6 November, CIPPEC (Centre for the Implementation of Public Policies for Equality and Growth) presented their Monitoring Report of the Law on Education Financing.
The conference was opened by Axel Rivas, Director of Education Department in CIPPEC and followed by the Secretary General of CTERA (teachers´union), Stella Maldonado, and the National Minister of Education, Juan Carlos Tedesco.
The report underlined the fact that the financial objectives for the Educational Finance Law (26075/05) for 2007 were successfully met.
The Finance Law was passed in 2005 and its main objective is to prioritise the investment on education. This will tackle inequalities and guarantee the right that all children have to education.
