Global economy
The global economic crisis has demonstrated the need for co-ordinated international action to boost the chances of recovery. It is imperative to maintain openness to trade and investment, resist protectionism and strengthen the multilateral trading system.
The Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO) can help to maintain international support for this agenda through increasing commitment to open markets and free trade and promoting economic reforms in key developing countries.
